If you climb up to the Cross on the mountain Kružak, in front of you is the church of St. Constant, protector of malaria. for. For centuries the young inhabitants of this place and its surroundings have often died from malaria. The stones for the construction of the church and the fence wall were brought here by diseased people when they got high body temperature (the third stage of malaria – there so called terciana). Dressed in winter clothes during summer, carrying as much stones as they climbed up to St. Constant church to make a vow. Strong ones, who would reach the top would be cured (at a body temperature of 39-40 ° C the cause of malaria dies). Church of St. Constant was built in 1780, in the Second World War it was severely damaged and restored in 1994 by the local inhabitants of Jezera. Hill Kružak offers a nice view on the Jezera village.
